This scripture hits diferently everytime i read it especially because of the surprising presentation of God ‘neeeding’ a man! Although God is unlimited in His power, He has in His own wisdom chosen to limit His engagements in this world to the willingness of man. If man is found to be unwilling, most of God’s desires cannot be established.

 I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 16:19 AMP

The Amplified version gets this scripture just right! Whatever we bind or lose on earth, must be what is already bound or losed in heaven. This statement is based on the fact that something can be bound in heaven, and remain unbound on earth! The keys to bind or lose on earth were given to man. You and I carry the Awesome priviledge of establishing God’s desire in this world. Like an army, lets arise and take responsibility!
